The center lathe CONTUR SJ-860 / SJ-960 and SJ-1060 XL are robust, high-quality, and user-friendly lathes for single part- and small series production of big and heavy turned parts. They persuade with their qualitative equipment and user-friendliness. No endless searching of charts during the setting of the spindle speed (8-700 r / min) or feed. As a standard, the machine uses rapid traverse in longitudinal and transverse axis.
Special features:
- Rapid traverse in X- and Z-axis (standard)
- main spindle triple bearing with tapered roller bearing from SKF or FAG
- heavy, corrugated bed made out of Meehanite cast for high torsion resistance
- All guideways are hardened and precision ground
- counter surfaces of the guideways are coated with Turcite
- wide bed with double vee block guide
- Robust tailstock with gears
- standardized offset
- Optional: All 12 gears are infinitely variable (50% - 100%)
- equipment according to CE-standard with covered feed spindle, chuck, and splash guard for coolant and chips
